Spam Sucks...2010

I really hate spam email. There is an art form around sending legitimate email marketing messages that I really never grasped when I ran my old email marketing company. Now that I've been away from it for so long, I realize just how I disdain poorly sent emails. There is a right way and a wrong way. Most people play in the shades of gray, and that completely frustrates me. The lines are clear enough. If it feels right, then you're probably ok. The law isn't that ambiguous.

Anyway, a word to all of the email marketers out there. Try to be good net citizens and don't think so much about the bottom line today. It's the bottom line in 10 years that really matters. So, think about what your consequences will mean for your business at that time.
